Medicare Advantage

How will I know if my Medicare Advantage plan is canceled for 2027?

If your Medicare Advantage plan is ending, trust the official written notice from your plan—not neighborhood chatter or social-media rumors.

There is a lot of chatter about Medicare Advantage plans being canceled for 2027, but if your plan is ending, you will find out in writing from your plan—not from Sally in your paint-and-sip class.

Your plan will also send an Annual Notice of Change explaining changes to next year’s coverage, costs and other important details.

Beginning October 1, you can review 2027 plans on Medicare.gov or talk with an independent agent about the options available in your county.

If you need to make a change, the Medicare Annual Enrollment Period runs from October 15 through December 7.

Until the official information arrives, try to color between the lines and do not drink too much.
